Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

My child is in Grade 5 and we're thinking about private school — is it too early to start?

Not at all. Most competitive Greater Vancouver private schools have application deadlines for popular entry grades (7 and 8) a full year before enrollment, and thorough SSAT preparation, school visits, and reference letters take 12–18 months to do properly. Starting in Grade 5 gives you the runway to evaluate multiple schools and complete the process without rushing.

How is Eduaify different from a traditional admissions agency?

The most meaningful difference is that we have real teaching data behind the applications. Through Borui Academy, we have AP score trajectories and learning records that provide verifiable, concrete evidence for essays and interviews — not boilerplate. We do not ghostwrite essays or fabricate materials. Admissions success is built on an accurate and compelling presentation of what your child has genuinely accomplished.

Do you only serve Greater Vancouver families?

In-person work is concentrated in Greater Vancouver (Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, and nearby areas). Consulting, planning, essay coaching, and Science Fair support are all available online — we work with BC families across Canada.

Can private school and university planning happen at the same time?

Yes, and many families need both tracks running in parallel. Private school selection affects university readiness — the AP or IB pathway, school resources, and peer environment all matter. When we develop a private school plan, we keep the downstream university picture in view. Families with both needs have dedicated counselors collaborating on each track.
